Sam Ruano

SAM RUANO (writer, Peter Holinger) is a comedy writer and performer. He is a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre Prime Time Television Writer’s Program and holds a BFA in film production from Concordia University.  Ruano worked as a videographer on the eco-adventure show “Exploring Horizons” which aired internationally on Discovery Travel. He has written and directed four Fringe Festival plays along with several short films to great acclaim. Sam performs improv comedy regularly around Toronto and is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory program. He has worked extensively with the National Film Board of Canada on many award-winning documentaries. Sam’s most recent writing credits include staff writing for the current season of Little Mosque On The Prairie. He is currently developing a drama with Virginia Rankin about flight attendants in the ‘70’s at the height of the sexual revolution.
